Breaking the Glass Ceiling: Starting Daisha Board Gallery


Daisha Board Gallery opened in November 2022 to represent BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and artists with disabilities. During this Q&A discussion, listen to Daisha Board speak about her experience launching a new gallery, how she finds artists, how she promotes more inclusive visibility for artists and collectors, and how she’s changing the vibe. Daisha Board is a gallerist, curator, and social influencer committed to amplifying the narratives and dialogues of BIPOC, LGBTQ+ artists, and artists with disabilities locally and abroad with new and existing art enthusiasts and collectors. She launched Daisha Board Gallery in 2021 after spending years bridging communities, galleries, and artists with Black Sheep Art Culture. She has curated, juried, and collaborated on exhibitions and projects in both traditional and non-traditional art spaces throughout Dallas, including The Arlington Art Fair, The Other Art Fair, African American Museum of Dallas, Dallas Contemporary, 500X Gallery, and The City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture. Daisha Board is a proud graduate of a Historically Black College & University (HBCU) Bethune-Cookman University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and African American Studies.
