The Art and Equity Scholarship offers three individual artists of color funded memberships at The Cedars Union for 18 months. One artist will be granted a dedicated 8x8 micro-studio as part of The CU’s Cohort Program, and the two other artists will be granted a Community Membership, which provides access to all shared areas of the CU without a dedicated studio.
2022 scholarship recipients' memberships will begin January 2022 through June 2023, in conjunction with Cohort 3. Applicants will have the option to apply for only the Community Membership, only the Studio Artist/Cohort Membership, or both. Applications are due October 2nd, 2021. Apply using the portal below.
Applicants must be 18 or older, live within 100 miles of The Cedars Union (located in the Cedars neighborhood of Dallas), and a BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) or ALAANA (African, Latinx, Asian, Arab, Native American) artist to apply.
