CU Friends & Member Event

We our donors to join us for a woodworking themed Happy Hour at The Cedars Union on March 2nd from 2-5pm. During this time together, we will sip on beverages, snack on some light nibbles and create an interactive wood sculpture in the Fabrication Lab with our CU Community Member, Rhoda Savage.

Rhoda Savage is an architect turned artist who joined The CU in 2021 as a Community Member. Rhoda uses The CU wood shop to build substrates for her encaustic paintings, fabricate flights of stairs for her Taos cabin, and sometimes fabricate a piece of furniture or two. When she is not at The CU, she works out of a light-filled studio located in a historic loft by the Exposition Park neighborhood. In 2023, Rhoda gained representation with Craighead Green after being selected for their annual New Texas Talent show.

This happy hour is your chance to peek into the studio hall as our Cohort artists reach their halfway mark. As we often preach, this is the point in the Cohort term when the magic starts to happen. So come and fall under their spell while meeting your fellow CU supporters.
