We are excited to invite you to Cedars Open Studio (COS), a free neighborhood-wide event on, Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The Cedars Union is an anchor location for COS, as we house 16 resident artists along with over 40 community artists.

During the event, you will be able to meet 21 selected artists and tour our facilities, to firsthand experience our organization. Participating artists include Iris Bechtol, Jessica Bell, Imani Black, Victoria Brill, Dakari Butler, Evan Court, Christian Cruz, Alec DeJesus, Ammie Felder-Williams, Arthur Fields, Lauren Fleniken, Charles Gray, Christina Hahn, Assandre Jean-Baptiste, Christopher Sonny Martinez, Dora Reynosa, Reyna Ramirez, Leili Arai Tavallaei, Eric Thayer, Matthew “Woody” Wood, and Amy Zapien.

This year, we have teamed up with students from SMU’s International Arts Management cohort. They have assisted the staff with planning the event and creating several activities for the public to enjoy. During the afternoon, we will have live woodshop demonstrations from Evan Court, a recycled sculpture making station, and a community mural. If you need a caffeine fix during the day, MVP Coffee Company will be serving up warm beverages from inside our building!
